Slowly Feeling Good

I can't tell whether it is reduction in my tiredness levels or my enjoyment of reading material which is making this morning pass in a much more contended fashion that yesterday's.
I am reading "In Praise of Slowness", which inevitably will have something to do with my state of mind, but also, I feel that two nights in a row of more than eight hours sleep have taken their positive toll on my being.

People on the phone (I type this from the contact centre) are less irritating; the sky seems brighter; annoyances seem to matter less. I am very much beginning to come around to the conclusion that the systems, rules and regulations imposed on us (me in particular) need not be given too much head-space. What, I ask myself, is going to happen to
me if I do not submit a piece of pointless paperwork in time? Who will come to my door if I keep some faceless corporation waiting an extra few days for their 'demanded' payment? I am worrying less, and it feels great.
