The return of things
Christmas has been and gone, along with New Year and the entire festive season. It was all quiet and nothing out-of-the-ordinary occurred. Chloe and I took a trip to London on the 3rd (a present from her to me) and had a great time. We visited the Groucho Club each evening and enjoyed nice beer in small glasses and some discreet star-spotting. It is an inspired place with a reputation whose reality does not disappoint.
Now we're back and Roxy and I are on day 4 of our rehearsal process for a show that is provisionally titled "How To Be Idle", inspired of course by the writings of Hodgkinson. We have converted my living room into a great idling office and have made much progress so far. We have our first mentor's meeting tomorrow morning, so to remedy the gloom of that event, Chloe and I are about to pop over the road to Clockwork for an ale or two.
A horrid day, in terms of weather, so I have been glad to stay indoors for the most part of it, enjoying my chair, my books and my ukelele (another beautiful Christmas present).
I will write more later. Suffice it to say that I am glad to be back, glad to be writing again and look forward to re-awakening my mind with my blog.

I think you're looking at the Groucho through rose tinted glasses my boy! It was fun...but rather irritating as well. Please don't forget the steak incident, the whiskey incident and the 12.5% incident. Thank you and goodnight x
