Ain't that the truth

Let's face it. It's never going to be the "Daily" Brido. At least I'm on Fatband at the flat now, so I'll try and make some semblance of an entry when I can.

About to put on a nice (old - Mr Ben's) suit and drive to Edinburgh Zoo for a 60th birthday. Sometimes I'm so rock and roll I scare myself. Tomorrow I guess I'll read today's Guardian and maybe some of "The Remains of the Day".

I wonder, when people like Pete Doherty say they're getting clean, fighting the battle with drugs, attacking their addictions, how often are they actually telling the truth?

I'm not doing a secondment at the academy any more. It's the best thing. I'm not well enough. I need time to recover. Also, pretty excited about working with Fish & Game soon, should be a lark, and perhaps I'll learn something (I'm sure we're safe to assume that much).

Should really be getting ready, but I just want to sit here and type for as long as possible. I really enjoyed "Tunnel Visions", the other day, got through it at an alarming pace! It's so easy to read, and yet I was mentally stimulated by it, that's how a good book should be, surely.

Well, more tomorrow.
