Fish and Game begins - whilst life continues
Fiona Wright spoke to us last week about the daily practice of yoga, and
the mat being a mirror to the way one feels each day with its use. I
have taken this idea and applied it to my daily travelling: I like to
think of the street as my mirror, or even the bus and train journies I
take each day.
Speaking to Brendan this morning, I mentioned something about being
free, and leaving time for idleness. I spoke about stopping the
constant concern about career, and 'where things are going' and starting
to focus on getting on with day-to-day living, and, dare I say, enjoying
it. His response was something along the lines of - 'look at all the
people out there. Let's say half of them are worrying and stressing
themselves out about how things will turn out, and the other half is
just living, and not allowing themselves to be worried. Who, in the
end, is getting the better deal?' I think we know.
